The Morey Rd./Burnt Hill Rd. loop is the perfect novice ride.  Climbing is minimal and the dirt roads are smooth and forgiving.  The surrounding state forest is quite remote, so it's virtually certain you won't see another vehicle, or even a bicycle.  Enjoy the solitude.

From the Looking Glass Pond parking area turn right on Rossman Hill Rd..  Morey Rd. will be a right turn 1/4 mile from the parking area.  After 1.5 miles of perfectly straight, though rolling, road, you will bear to the left.  No route finding here, the road takes a natural turn.

2.1 miles from the parking area Burnt Hill Rd. intersects from the left.  You definitely want to be looking for it.  It may not be marked, and if you're tooling along, you may miss it as it comes in from a sharp angle.  Turn left on Burnt Hill Rd.

There are two easy turns on Burnt Hill Rd. before a straight shot back to Rossman Hill Rd.  Before coming to Rossman Hill Rd. there is a climb that gains 100 ft. of vertical.  Turn left on Rossman Hill Rd. to return to the parking area.
